about
ŠKM banda is far from unknown to music connoisseurs. After twenty years of playing music together, five well-received albums and fluid kneading of their unique musical reality, they’re returning with fresh material.
“Prekesen” (“Too late”) is a 12-minute video single that marks the 20th anniversary of the ŠKM banda. To the fore they still bring a playful interweaving of guitar noises and mighty sound walls, which are built and demolished in the intimate atmosphere of home VHS recordings (find music video on YouTube).
Initially their distinctive vision of eclectic and playful post jazz symbolically returns to the playful past. The mirror of growing up is portrayed in the interweaving of two guitars, a bass and a drum, which unfolds into an increasingly confident and elaborate musical image. The ŠKM banda present their music in different times and places. And it is never "too late" for timelessness.
