Urn serves as some kind of a gateway between the new material that The Canyon Observer are currently working on and the old (which had more of a “traditional” approach in writing - NØLL).
The band has always been intrigued by free forms and tried to accommodate that into our working method. The willingness to dive into the unknown, to trust each other enough to let go. The risk of failure that comes with this kind of musical expression is important and fulfilling and gives as more room for musical development.
Lyrically Urn is a monument about the last moments of ones life as we embrace death and come to terms with the fear of it.

Jordan Vauvert
The dissonant bleakness of the first track is less weird and more hypnotic than on the second track. That's why I like it a little more. But both songs together make for an extraordinary experience and a journey to the arhythmically beating heart of darkness. mourner
With their blend of playfulness and graduate-level instrumentation, Dorcha deftly prove that improvisational zeal and conservatory-level precision aren't mutually exclusive. Bandcamp Album of the Day Nov 16, 2020
I was blown away by Eras Lost, the concept of us as humans and how we're destroying this magnificent planet we call earth, the connection between the concept and the music is huge. I totally got swept away with the journey of what Earthrise are speaking about, beautiful crushing record. Darknight
